Firefighters Endorse Mike Carroll for Irvine City Council

IRVINE, CA - Today, the Orange County Professional Firefighters announced their support and endorsement of Vice Mayor Mike Carroll for Irvine City Council. Carroll is running for Irvine City Council in the November 3rd General Election.

With this important endorsement, Carroll has the support of both Irvine's Firefighters and Police -- the City of Irvine's "first responders" who protect and ensure the safety of the entire community 24/7.

“Mike Carroll has a very strong commitment to keeping Irvine safe," said Brent Berkompas, Political Affairs Director for Orange County Professional Firefighters. “As Firefighters, we are proud to stand with him. We know he'll be an advocate for public safety and for the Firefighters that bravely protect the 287,000 residents of Irvine.”

“I'm very honored to have the support of our Firefighters," said Carroll.  “Our Firefighters put themselves on the line, every day, and ensure the safety of us all. I'm proud to stand with them.”

The Firefighters join the Irvine Police Association, the Orange County Business Council, OCTaxPAC, many Irvine residents, and a host of current and former elected officials in supporting Mike Carroll for the Irvine City Council

The Orange County Professional Firefighters represent more than 1,000 Firefighters serving 23 cities, protecting 1.7 million citizens, 560,000 residences, thousands of commercial buildings, and 175,000 acres of wild open space with 24-hour all-hazard operations.
