Irvine's Police Back Mike Carroll for City Council

IRVINE, CA - Today, the Irvine Police Association announced their support and endorsement of Mike Carroll for Irvine City Council. Carroll is running for Irvine City Council in the November 3rd General Election.

"Ensuring the City of Irvine remains Safest City in America is my top priority along with addressing COVID-19," said Carroll. "That distinction is due in no small part to the sworn men and women of the Irvine Police Department." 

The Irvine Police Association represents the men and women of the Irvine Police Department, and is dedicated to community policing and committed to quality service for all. 

"Mike Carroll is fully committed to public safety and keeping Irvine safe," said David Wills, Irvine Police Association President. "As our Vice Mayor, Mike has been there for the men and women of the Irvine Police Association--time and time again."

IPA an active member of the Irvine community, and is best known for its "Concert on the Green and Fireworks Festival," held every Fourth of July at Irvine High School Stadium. The Festival celebrated its 35th Anniversary last year. 

"We're fully behind Mike," continued Wills. "He is a trusted leader who works closely with us to ensure the safety of our families and neighborhoods."

The Irvine Police Association joins many Irvine residents and current and former elected officials in supporting Mike Carroll for the Irvine City Council.

Mike Carroll (Vice Mayor, City of Irvine) is a devoted husband, parent of school age children, and Irvine small business owner. Prior to joining the City Council, Mike was Vice Chair of the Planning Commission and Chair of the Community Services Commission. He is an Irvine Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) member, a founding board member of the Orange County Rescue Mission medical clinic, and former President of the Vista Verde K-8 School Foundation.
